Trying To Crawl
Anjali has been making attempts to crawl lately. When she is sitting, she will lean forward onto her hands and push off with her feet, especially when reaching for something she really wants. She does this on the potty which is funny and potentially messy...but mostly funny.
Once on her tummy, she lifts up onto her hands and knees, and alternatively her hands and feet. She gets one leg moving forward, but can't seem to get the other leg forward. Sometimes she lifts it, sometimes not. Sometimes she goes backwards. All of this is quite frustrating and exhausting for her. She cries in despair. We encourage her and cheer her on. Papa even demonstrates crawling and moving around. This does not help. Soon...
These pics show her on the bed, but a firm surface like the bare hard-wood floors or carpeted floors is usually better. Anjali will even try out her moves in the bed at night, typical of a baby going through some developmental leaps.
In these pics she has her diaper on, but we think it is easier for her without one, or with her
Contiunuum-Family snap training pants. She has much more leg and abdominal room that way.
(This post has been delivered one-handed as Anjali sleeps in my other arm.)
